Animal Plates
(This would also be a great craft for a Kindergarten or preschool class for a Month of March lesson - "March rolls in like a Lion and out like a Lamb.") The ideas are endless!
Difficulty: Easy
Materials:
Paper plates
Marker or crayon
Construction paper
Directions:
The Lion:
To make the Lion you will need to cut 8 paper strips first and then set aside. Have your kiddo draw the eyes and whiskers. Next you will curl the mane using a pencil or marker and wrap the paper around the pencil and then let go and it will stay in place. When all strips of paper are curled- glue the end of the strips using Elmers glue or any craft glue you may have on hand and let dry.
The Lamb:
For the Lamb, have your kiddo draw a face first- starting with the eyes and then mouth. When they have finished the face then it is time to cut the ears out. Cut two banana peel shapes and set aside. Use cotton balls or whatever you have on hand for the hair tuft and glue ears and hair using Elmers glue. Let dry and you are done!
