This is a fun and easy idea. This Apple Cover is for a large sized apple. Great for lunch bags and helps to reduce bruising. Made from a Sport weight 4 yarn.

 

Materials: Sport weight size 4 yarn two different colors, Size H hook.

 

Base- Color  A:  CH 3

Rnd 1: 8 SC in 1st CH made, SL to 1st SC made,  CH 1, turn.

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each sp, SL to 1st SC made, CC to B, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 3:* SC, 2 SC in next sp, rep from * around SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 4: * 2 SC in next sp, 3 SC, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CC to A, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 5:  30 SC around, SL to 1st SC made,  CH 1, turn.

Rnd 6: 30 SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CC to B, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 7: 30 SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 8: 30 SC around,  Do not SL to 1st made, CC to A, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 9: 30 SC around, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 10: 30 SC around, CC to B, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 11: 30 SC around, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 12: 30 SC around, CC to A, CH 1, turn.

 

Rnd 13: 30 SC around, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 14: 30 SC around, CC to B, CH 1 turn.

 

Rnd 15: 30 SC around, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 16: *3 SC, SC2tog, Rep across, CH 1, turn. (24 sts)

 

Rnd 17: * SC2tog, SC, rep across to last sp, 3SC in last sp to turn corner, SC down and up sides to 1st SC2tog st, 2 SC in same sp as 1st ST made, SL to beg st tie off, Hide string.

 

Take 3 long strings and braid them together. Put the string through the Side of the Apple Cover as if tying up shoe laces.
