Your little “belle” will enjoy wearing this sweet baby belle crochet hat – in any color! This is a fun crochet hat pattern that comes together quickly and is sure to keep your toddler nice and warm for fall and winter.

Materials:
Baby Soft yarn   
Size F hook

Size: Fits most 12-18 months

Gauge: None given

Pattern:
Chain 3. Join with sl st to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 9 more dc into ring.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. [10 stitches]
Round 2: 2 dc in each stitch around.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. [20 st]
Round 3: *2 dc in first dc, dc in next 2 dc*.  Repeat from * to * around.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. [27 st]
Round 4: *2 dc in first dc, dc in next 3 dc*. Repeat from * to * around.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. [33st]
Rounds 5-7: Dc in each st around.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. [33 st]
Round 8: *dc in first stitch, fpdc in next stitch*.  Repeat from * to * around.  Join to top of ch-2 with sl st. Fasten off.

Scallop Edging:
With the right side facing you work 1 row of single crochet along the edge where you want your scallops, then turnover your project and work another row. This way the right side of your scallops will show on the right side of your project. Turn, *skip 2 stitches, 5 double crochets into next stitch, skip next 2 stitches, single crochet into next stitch, repeat from * to end and finish off.
