You can crochet a pair of barefoot sandals for your baby using our free pattern, quick and easy. That’s my favorite part of this pattern. I have made several pairs for friends’ babies and as shower gifts too. Crochet them in any color with just about any yarn (although Caron Simply Soft is a nice soft yarn to start with for delicate baby feet).
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Caron Simply Soft, any color; Hook size G/4.25mm
Key:
CH = chain
SC = single crochet
HDC = half double crochet
DC = double crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
Step 2: Next Step
Instructions:
Heart
Chain 4.
Tc in 4th chain from hook, in the same space (1 tc, 3 dc), ch 15, sl st to the first chain to form the toe loop.
Tc in center of heart, 3 dc, 2 tc,(all worked in the same space as the other stitches).
Ch 3, sl st to center of heart.
Straps
To form the ankle straps, ch 50, sl st to the back of the heart or to the center of the heart, ch 50, finish off. (See image.)
