Step 1: Getting Started

Baby Bow Shoe Clips

These Bow shoe clips are so cute on baby or toddler shoes and can be made in minutes! Add a cute bow clip to match your Spring or Easter outfit. This DIY project is simple to crochet and can be created with any color of yarn, in almost any yarn weight, depending on how large you want your bow to be. Or dress up baby and toddler shoes any time of year, for any occasion!

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:

4mm hook, Yarn, Scissors, lace, shoe or hair clips (clip on earrings work too), Darning needle, Hot glue gun

Key:
Ch - Chain
SC - Single Crochet
Rep - Repeat
FO - Fasten Off

Crochet Pattern:

Make a slip knot and chain that is long enough for both ends to be folded in- this will determine what size you want your bow clip and will allow for each side to be folded in.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each ch across, ch1, turn.

Row 2: 1sc in each st across, ch1, turn

Row 3: Rep row 2 until your bow is wide enough in height then Fasten off.

To determine desired length, fold both ends to the center and squeeze middle- using this method you can gauge how big or small you want your bow by adding or subtracting rows.

When it is the size you desire - fasten off and slip stitch ends or whip stitch together.

I hot glued lace around the middle of my bow to give it that delicate vintage look but you could also do a sc chain around the middle if you prefer - it is completely up to you and your creativity.
