Use edible conversation heart candy to create this pretty magnet to hang on your fridge or office cabinet or give it as a gift.

What you need

  • Conversation heart candy
  • thin cardboard (cereal box, note pad, etc)
  • spray adhesive or glue stick
  • instant grab glue
  • scrapbook paper in two contrasting patterns
  • paper doily
  • 3 small round flat magnets
  • white ribbon

What you do

Cut cardboard to approximately 5"x4". Use adhesive spray or glue stick to cover cardboard with one of the patterned scrapbook papers.

1

Cut covered cardboard into the shape of a heart. Without gluing anything, position the conversation hearts onto the border of the cardboard heart to see how many you are going to need.

2

Slide the candies off the heart, keeping them in order. Begin gluing to the cardboard heart using instant craft glue.

3

Cut a smaller heart from the other piece of scrapbook paper and glue to the center of the larger heart. Cut a smaller heart from the paper doily and glue to the center of the small heart.

Tie a piece of white ribbon into a bow and glue to the front of the heart. Glue magnet to the back, one of each hump and one at the bottom.
