Cords and Squares Baby Blanket

This blanket is perfect for a new born boy. No holes to catch the baby’s finger and toes. This Knit blanket is made from Bernat Soft Yarn and the blanket is about 36”x 36” give or take.

Materials: Bernat Baby Soft yarn: Pale Blue, Size 4 mm knitting needles, and a Cable Needle.

K = Knit

P= Purl

Cast on 252 sts

Bottom Border:

Row 1: Knit across.

Row 2: Knit across.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until Measures 3” long

(Part One)

Row 3: K14, *K25, P25, Slip 4 sts onto cable and hold in front of work, K4 from left needle, K4 from cable, Rep 2 times from*, K25, P25, K14

Row 4: K14, *K25, P33, Rep 2 times from*, K25, P25, K14.

Row 5: K14, *K25, P25, K8, Rep 2 times from*, K25, P25, K14.

Row 6: Rep row 4

Repeat rows 3-6 six more times.

(Part Two)

Row 7: K14, *P25, K25, Slip 4 sts onto cable and hold in front of work, K4 from left needle, K4 from cable, Rep 2 times from*, P25, K39.

Row 8: K14, *P25, K25, P8, Rep 2 times from*, P25, K39.

Row9: K14, *P25, K25, K8, Rep 2 times from*, P25, K39.

Row 10: Rep Row 8.

Repeat Rows 7-10 six more times.

Repeat Part One and Two – 2 more times.
