This Crochet Christmas Tree is a fabulous addition to your holiday décor. It stands 12” tall and you can decorate it in ribbons.

Materials: Yarn Patrons – Chestnut Tweed, Vanna’s – Seaspray Mint, Hook Size: H, and Red Ribbon. 5” square pieces of fabric, rice and poly-fill.

Rnd 1: 8 SC in 1st CH sp, SL to 1ST SC made, CH1, turn.

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each sp around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn. (16)

Rnd 3: *1 SC, 2 SC in next SC Sp, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn. (22)

Essentially what you will be doing is decreasing 3 stitches every other row while making sure the TR st don't line up with previous row. If decreasing 3 every other row is easier instruction to follow do so if not I have written down what I have done.

It is time to stop put down the project and take you two 5x5” fabric pieces sew around the sides leaving a 1” space open, Turn inside out and fill with rice or beans, sew the opening shut and put in the stump of the tree, and fill the rest of the tree with poly-fill. And pick up the hook and continue:

Stuff opening with Poly-Fill, then weave your tail through Rnd 52, pull opening shut, tie off, and hide string.

Next take you ribbon and tie ribbons on your tree. My ribbons kept slipping so I added hot glue in the middle knot.
