Purple Water Princess Flower

This Purple Flower is a great applique for blankets, pillows, and hats! It is fun and easy.

Materials: Yarn, Caron Orchid and Iris.

Hook Size H/5.00 mm

                This Crochet flower appliqué is a great addition to any hat, pillow, or even a blanket. The flower is 4 ½ inches wide. Find a 3 square inch area for placement of flower. Attach Iris yarn and in circular fashion in the given area crochet as follows:

Rnd 1: CH 5, SL, Rep 4 times, you should have a shape that looks a pentagon, do not turn.

Rnd 2: In CH sp (SL, SC, 2 HDC, 3 DC, 4 TR, 3 DC, 2 HDC, SC, SL) Rep 4 times, tie off, hide string. (5 peddles)

Rnd 3 - Attach Orchid yarn at the base of the 1^st peddle made: CH 4, SL at Base of next Peddle, rep 4 times, SL in beginning, do not turn.

Rnd 4: In CH sp (SL, SC, HDC, 2 DC, 3TR, 2 DC, HDC, SC, SL) Rep 4 times, tie off hide string.

Rnd 5: Attach Iris yarn at the base of the 1^st peddle made in Rnd 4: CH3, SL, Rep 4 times, do not turn.

Rnd 6: In CH sp (SL, SC, HDC, 4 DC, HDC, SC, SL) Rep 4 times, Tie off Hide string.

Rnd 7: Attach Orchid yarn at the base of the 1^st peddle made in Rnd 6: CH 2, SL, Rep 4 times, do not turn.

Rnd 8: In CH sp (SL, HDC, 3 DC, HDC, SL), Rep 4 times.

Two Options for center:

Option 1: Sew a button for the flowers center

Option 2, Rnd 1 - Attach yarn to base of 1^st flower made in rnd 8: SC around the perimeter of the center, SL to 1^st SC made, do not turn.

Rnd 2-3: SC around perimeter of center.

Rnd 4: SC in every other  SC, cut string and pull loop through, with Needle string  through every SC in rnd and pull string tight to close opening, Tie off and hide string.
