Step 1: Your Supplies

Circular blankets are so much fun, especially for small children. They make a great floor blanket for toddlers or a TV/lap blanket. Make this blanket as small or as large as you wish in just about any color scheme.  This pattern crochets easily and you will love the results!

Difficulty: Easy

Materials: Lion Brand – Tweed Stripes; Lakeside and Caribbean, and Size K crochet hook.

SC = Single Crochet

SL = Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

DC = Double Crochet

Puff Stitch = DC4tog in same sp

CC = Change Color

Step 2: Getting Started

Instructions:

Start with Lakeside.

Base: Ch 7, Sl to 1st CH made.

Rnd 1: CH 2 turn. In Ch 7 ring made (Puff, CH 2) 6 times, Sl to 1st puff made.

Rnd 2: Ch 2 turn. (counts as 1st strand of puff st). * Puff in Ch 2 sp, CH 2, DC in puff st (from Rnd 1), Ch 2, Rep from * around, SL to 1st Puff made.

Rnd 3: Ch 2, turn. (counts as 1st strand of puff st). *Puff in ch 2 sp, in DC sp ( Dc, CH 2, DC), CH 2, Puff in Ch 2 sp, Sk Puff st sp, Ch 2, Rep from * around, Sl to 1st puff made.

Rnd 4 (work in Ch 2 sps only from this row on): Ch 2, turn (Counts as 1st strand of puff st). *(puff, CH 2) twice, In next CH 2 sp (DC, CH 2, DC), Puff, CH 2, Rep from * around, Sl to 1st Puff st.

Rnd 5: CH 2, turn. *(puff, CH 2) twice, In next ch 2 sp (DC, Ch 2, DC), CH 2, (Puff, CH 2) twice, Rep from * around, SL to 1st Puff made.

Step 3: The Next Step

Rnd 6: CH 2, turn. *(puff, CH 2) 3 times, In next ch 2 sp (DC, Ch 2, DC), CH 2, (Puff, CH 2) twice, Rep from * around, SL to 1st Puff made.

Rnd 7: CH 2, turn. *(puff, CH 2) 3 times, In next ch 2 sp (DC, Ch 2, DC), CH 2, (Puff, CH 2) 3 times, Rep from * around, SL to 1st Puff made.

Rnd 8: CH 2, turn. *(puff, CH 2) 4 times, In next ch 2 sp (DC, Ch 2, DC), CH 2, (Puff, CH 2) 3 times, Rep from * around, SL to 1st Puff made.

CC to Caribbean

Continue in like manner until desired size is acquired.

You can make the blanket as big or as small as you wish. Change colors every 5 rows.
