Child Bunny Slippers

Aww so cute! These adorable little bunny slippers are perfect for your little one. Maybe you need a gift for a grandchild? These are so cute you know they will love them!

Materials: %u201CCaron Simply Soft%u201D yarn colors; Bone, Black, Soft Pink, and White.

Hook size: H

Ch = Chain

SC = Single crochet

HDC = Half double crochet

DC = Double crochet

SL = Slip crochet

FL = Front Loop

BL = Back Loop

These slippers fit a size 5-6 children foot. To alter size by going up a hook size or make sole larger by adding more chains to Rnd 3. You will need to alter the instruction from there on.

Sole: Color; Bone.

Base: CH 3, SL in 1^st CH made, CH 1, Turn.

Rnd 1: 8 SC in ring, SL in 1^st SC made, CH 1, Turn.

Rnd 2: *SC, 2 SC in next, rep from* 3 times, SL to 1^st SC made, Do not turn.

Rnd3: CH 12, SC in 2^nd CH from hook, 10 SC, SL, CH 1, * SC, 2 SC in next sp, rep 4 times from *, 10 SC, 2 SC in next sp, SL in 1^st SC made, CH 1 turn.

Rnd 4: SC, 2 SC in next, 13 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 4 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 4 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 12 SC, 2 SC in next sp, SC, SL in 1^st SC made, CH1, turn.

Rnd 5: 2 SC, 2 SC in next, 17 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 4 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 18 SC, 2 SC in next sp, SL in 1^st SC made, CH 1, turn.

Rnd 6: 2 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 18 SC, 2 SC in next, 6 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 17 SC, 2 SC in next sp, 2 SC, SL in 1^st SC made, CH 1, Turn. Do not tie off.

Body: Switch to Color; white.

Rnd 1: SC around sole in BL, SL to 1^st SC made, Ch1, turn (53 sc).

Rnd 2: SC around sole in FL, SL to 1^st SC made, tie off (53 sc).

Toe

Find the center of toe, count 5 SC to the right, and attach yarn.

Row 1: 11 SC, SL on sole, SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 2: 11 SC, SL on sole, SC in next sp on sole, CH 1, Turn. (Make sure to connect the 1^st SC after the SL of prev row).

Row 3-11: Rep row 2.

Foot Opening

Rnd 1: SC, 2 HDC, 5 DC, 2 HDC, SC, SL on sole, SC around, SL to beg SC, Do not turn.

Rnd 2: SL around, Tie off and hide string.

Left Ear:

Attach Pink yarn to center of the base on left side of shoe.

Base: CH 14, tie off.

Rnd 1: Attach pink again to right side of CH, along CH; 2 SC, HDC, 3 DC, 4 HDC, 3 SC, CH 3 (corner), 3 SC, 4 HDC, 3 DC, HDC, 2 SC, SL to sole, Tie off.

Rnd 2: Attach Bone color yarn to right side of Rnd 1, in BL; 3 SC, 2 HDC, DC, 4 HDC, 4 SC, 3 SC in corner ring, 4 SC, 4 HDC, DC, 2 HDC, 2 SC, 2 SC in next sp, SL on base of shoe. Tie off hide string.

Right Ear:

Attach Pink yarn to center of the base on right side of shoe.

Base: CH 14, Tie off.

Rnd 1: Attach pink again to right side of CH, along CH; 2 sc in 1^st CH sp, SC , HDC, 3 DC, 4 HDC, 3 SC, CH 3 (corner), 3 SC, 4 HDC, 3 DC, HDC, SC, SL to base of shoe, tie off.

Rnd 2: Attach Bone color to right side of Rnd 1, in BL; 3 SC, 2 HDC, DC, 4 HDC, 4 SC, 3 SC in corner ring, 4 SC, 4 HDC, DC, 2 HDC, 2 SC, SL to base of shoe.

Bring the two ears together and sew, in any desired fashion, together at the corner with like color and sew 1%u201D downward. Fasten off, hid string. With Black yarn embroider triangle nose and eyes. With Pink yarn make small pom poms for a tail. Attach tail to heel of slipper.
