Spring is in the air! And Easter is on its way. Hop to it and crochet a few baby hats for the charming little chicks in your flock. This adorable baby hat is a simple crochet pattern that can be made in no time at all and is so cute for Spring. Pair it with a bright colored Easter dress and your bouncing baby bunny will look lovely and bright!

Size:  3-6 months (13" circumference)

Skill Level: Beginner to Easy

Materials:   size F hook, 1.5 oz. baby yarn

Gauge: not given



Round 1:   Ch 4, join w sl st to form ring

Round 2:   Ch 1, work 10 sc in ring, do not join w sl st, keep working in rounds

Round 3:   2 sc in ea sc around (20 sc)

Round 4:   Work 1 rnd even (20 sc)

Round 5:   2 sc in ea sc around (40 sc)

Round 6:   Work 1 rnd even (40 sc)

Round 7:   *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc*, rep from * to * around (60 sc)

Round 8:   continue working sc in rounds until cap measures 8" from top to bottom

Scallop Edging:

With the right side facing you work 1 row of single crochet along the edge where you want your scallops, then turnover your project and work another row. This way the right side of your scallops will show on the right side of your project. Turn, *skip 2 stitches, 5 double crochets into next stitch, skip next 2 stitches, single crochet into next stitch, repeat from * to end and finish off. Weave in ends and fold a 2"cuff around the bottom. Hand sew using a single stitch on the inside of the hat with a yarn needle.
