You will need

  • 1 sheet each, blue and purple card stock
  • 6 different patterned papers in pastel colors
  • Foam alphabet stamps
  • White acrylic paint
  • Purple yarn
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

What you do

From the purple card stock, cut three pieces measuring 3" x 2.5". Do the same with the blue card stock, you should have 6 pieces

From each of the six patterned papers, cut one piece measuring 2.5" x 2" for a total of six different patterned pieces.

Finally, from the purple card stock cut three pieces measuring 1.5" x 1.25". Do the same with the blue card stock, you should have 6 pieces.

Use the glue stick to attach a small purple piece to the center of a patterned piece, then glue that to the large purple piece. Repeat this for all six layers of papers.

Find the foam letters to spell out "easter". Paint the foam letter with white paint then carefully press the stamp onto the small colored card stock center.

Cut six thin strips of paper for the hangers, you will need 3 purple and 3 blue. Fold the strips in half and glue them to the back of the corresponding card stock blocks.

Thread all of the letter blocks onto a piece of yarn and hang.
