Step 1: Getting Started

Here is a new twist on your traditional magnet board! This is a simple craft using a trendy cut-out frame and metal board to create a lovely spot for you magnets and notes. I love the stark black color used in our example image since black never goes out of style. And the swirling shapes evoke a vintage feel.

But you could also choose a bright cheery color to coordinate with your kitchen, office or even a classroom. The possibilities are endless with all the fun frame shapes and colors available at local craft stores and around the internet. I think you could even repurpose or up-cycle an older frame to achieve this look as well.

Our framed magnet board also makes a great gift for the holidays or any time of year!

Paint your frame using brush and craft paint or spray paint. You can find cute frames like this at most craft stores and you can even use picture frames if you want to use something you have on hand.

Step 2:
Glue the corners of your metal sheet to the back of the frame using permanent glue- I duct taped the corners after they dried just to make sure everything stayed in place.

Once glue is dry it is ready to hang- you can hang with ribbon or by itself, super classy either way!
