Yeah! Halloween is almost here. Easy, Simple, and cute project makes for a fun holiday! Don’t pass this one up. This bag measures 8 X 10” which is a perfect size!

 

Materials: Bernat Handicrafter yarn – Orange Varigated yarn, and Caron simply soft – black, Darning needle, and size H hook.

 

SL = Slip Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DCFP = Double Crochet in Front Post

St(s) = Stitch(s)

CC = Change Color

 

Bag

Base- Orange: CH 34

Row 1-10: 33 SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 11: SC * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * to last 2 sts, DCFP 2 rows below, SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 12 and all even rows unless otherwise noted:  33 SC, Ch 1 turn.

Row 13: 2 SC, * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * to last st, SC, CH 1, turn.

Row 15: 3 SC, * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * across, CH 1, turn.

Row 17: 4 SC, * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * to last 5 sts, DCFP 2 rows below, 4 SC, CH 1 turn.

Row 19: 5 SC, * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * to last 4 sts, DCFP 2 rows below, 3 SC, Ch 1 turn.

Row 21: 6 SC, * DCFP 2 rows below, 5 SC, Rep from * to last 3 sts, DCFP 2 rows below, 2 SC, CH 1, turn.

Rows 23-34: Rep rows 11-22

Row 35 – 44 CC to black: 33 SC across, Ch 1 turn.

Row 45-46 CC to orange: 33 SC across, CH 1 turn.

Row 47-58: Rep rows 11-22

Row 59 – 69: Rep rows 11-21

Rows 70 – 77: 33 SC across, CH 1 turn. (After row 77 tie off and hide string)

 

Take both ends of bag and fold in half the 1st 8 rows and the last 8 rows and sew down.

 

Fold the bag in half with right side facing inward and sew the sides together.

 

Bag Handles – Make two

Base- Black: CH 6

Row 1: 5 SC, Ch 1 turn.

Rep row 1 until measures 10” Then:

SC around the handles and 3SC in corner spaces.

Sew the handles to the front of the bag on both sides.

 

Bows: Make a Chain that is 7-8” long and tie off. Make 3 of these. And tie onto the bag in shown manner
