Step 1: Getting Started

Doilies are always fun and make a great template for stamping a pillow or shirt for Valentine's Day. This is a fun and inexpensive way to dress up your pillows for that special time of year!  This craft could also be adapted for other holidays and gift ideas.

 

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:

Paper Doily

Paint pen or

Fabric paint and

Stencil brush

Pillow or Shirt

Step 2: Instructions

Step 1: Tape doily to pillow to hold in place and begin painting making sure to hold doily in place when painting. I happened to have a fabric paint pen on hand so I wanted to try it out and see how it worked but I would recommend a stencil brush and paint for this project because it will not take as long as using a pen to fill in the spaces.

Step 2: Lift the doily along the way to make sure you have filled in all the spaces as it is hard to get it back in place once the tape has been removed. I only filled in the outside edging but feel free to do as much as you like. When all the spaces have been painted remove stencil and let dry.
