Heart Washcloth

Nothing says "I love you" like a clean kitchen! (Spouses take note.) Why not wash those dishes with a heart shaped cloth?  It's just one of those fun things that could be done for Valentine’s Day to make your sweetheart blush!  This washcloth pattern knits up quick and easy and makes a lovely little valentine for your special friends or loved one.  Enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy

Materials: Sugar n’ Cream yarn – variegated red, Size H Crochet Hook, Size 5.5 mm knitting needles, stitch holder.

K = Knit

YO = Yarn over

K2tog = Knit two together

INC = Increase by Knit in front and back loop

SC = Single crochet

SL = Slip Stitch

Cast on: 5 sts

Row 1: K2, YO, K, YO, K2

Row 2(and all even rows): K across

Row 3: K2, YO, K5, YO, K2

Row 5: K2, YO, K7, YO, K2

Row 7: K2, YO, K9, YO, K2

Row 9: K2, YO, K11, YO, K2

Row 11: K2, YO, K13, YO, K2

Row 13: K2, YO, K15, YO, K2

Row 15: K2, YO, K17, YO, K2

Row 17: K2, YO, K19, YO, K2

Row 19: K2, YO, K21, YO, K2

Row 21: K2, YO, K23, YO, K2

Connect to inside of heart working toward the outside of heart. Rep Rows 41-56.

Optional: Crochet

SC around the perimeter of the dishcloth, you will need to 2 SC in each sp around the bottom tip of the heart to turn. SL to 1^st SC made, Tie off and hide string.
