Knit a Last Minute Cowl with Melanie's new free pattern! A fast, simple pattern, this cowl can be knit quickly for a handmade gift, or to accent any winter outfit. Keep it simple and festive with winter white yarn, or change it up by choosing a bright cheery color or dark earthy color depending on the recipient or your mood!

This is also a great gender-neutral cowl, perfect for secret Santa gifts too.

Skill level: Beginner

Materials:  
60 yards of super bulky yarn
24 inch size 13 circular needle
Stitch marker
Yarn needle

Gauge: 2 stitch per inch.

Cowl Instructions:

Cast on 50 sts.
Round 1: Place a marker at the beginning of the round, being careful not to twist, join in the round. P in each stitch around.
Round 2 and 3: K in each stitch around
Round 4: P in each stitch around.
Round 5 -7: Repeat rounds 2 – 4 one more time.
Round 8 -13: K in each stitch around.
Round 14: P in each stitch around.
Round 15 and 16:  K in each stitch around.
Rounds 17- 19: repeat round 14 – 16.
Round 20: P in each stitch around.
Cast off very loosely.
Weave in all ends and gently block.
