Miniature Snowman

1.     Flour – 1 cup

2.     Salt – 1 cup

3.     Glass beaker or jar with lid

4.     Carrot – a small piece

5.     Grapes or coal pieces – 6 or 7 in number

6.     Green peas – 1 cup

7.     Small cloth – small piece

8.     Cherry, guava fruit (green in colour) – 1 piece

Craft Procedure:

Christmas is an occasion where happiness is spread across. It is fun time for everyone in the family. It is vacation time where meeting the near and dear ones will bring in lot of joy and satisfaction among people. Kids look for this occasion with lot of expectations. They make variety of Christmas crafts unlocking their creativity which is fun and learning for them. This miniature snowman is done with items that are available in our kitchen. This does not stay for long duration but at the same time, very easy to make and within minutes, one’s craft is ready. If you have not planned anything as a Christmas craft, this will come as a saver for you.

Step 1: Take the glass beaker or jar and clean it well. Wipe it dry so that it becomes the base for the Christmas craft

Step 2: Take the flour, add water and make it into dough. It should be like white clay used for making toys.

Step 3: Roll the dough into 3 small balls of different size. The head portion must be smaller than the other two portions.

Step 4: Place the balls one above the other, the small ball has to be placed on the top

Step 5: Place the coal or grapes pieces for the eyes and lips and place the small carrot piece as nose and press it slowly into the dough for it not falling down. Place the green peas as buttons in the middle ball of the dough

Step 6: On the head portion, place a small slice of whipped cream and above it, place the guava fruit piece and press it gently inside. Above the guava piece, insert a toothpick and insert the cherry piece also. Cut the visible toothpick portion so that the toothpick is hidden inside the guava and cherry and dough and hold all the three

Step 7: Tie the small piece of cloth around the neck slowly, cut the hanging pieces so that it appears as shown in the image.

Step 8: Fill the jar with salt for one inch and gently lower the snowman into the jar

Step 9: Close the lid and place it in the place of preference. This craft will decay because of the water moisture. So it can be used for a few days only
