Mothers Day Craft - Wood Craft
This is another one of those fun crafts that you can make for your Mom on Mothers Day using a leftover 2x4 and scrapbook paper. I used vinyl lettering for this craft but you can just print the font onto your craft paper if you have a computer and printer.
Materials:2x4
Scrap paperModge Podge or Spray glue
Saw (chop saw works best) to cut wood orFoam Brush
Glue Gun
1. Print Letters onto scrap paper and set aside. 2. Arrange wood peices accordingly and begin painting sides of blocks to coordinate with your scrapbook paper. Measure the paper by tracing the wood peices onto the scrapbook paper- color side of paper facing down so that when you trace the lines do not show when the paper is applied to the blocks. 3. When paint is dry you can begin applying glue, (note: if using modge podge apply a thin layer of glue with a foam brush and use a card to smooth out bubbles on the paper). 4. Let dry for an hour then apply Modge Podge with a brush over the top of the blocks to seal the paper and paint- this gives it a nice finished look. Let dry. Blocks can be glued together using wood glue a hot glue gun and you are done!
