Step 1: Your Supplies

Crochet an adorable newborn berry hat using our free crochet pattern. The Stem on top is the best part! This whimsical pretty baby hat will make a sweet accessory to your baby’s outfit or a fabulous baby shower gift for someone special.  Switch up the colors to make a blueberry hat or a raspberry hat. This newborn hat is made to fit a head circumference of 13-14”. To resize the hat the base is a multiple of 4. Have Fun with this pattern!

Materials: Caron Simply Soft: Limelight and Grape, and Size H crochet hook.

Rnd 3: *4 DC in CH 5 sp, Ch 3, Sc in next Ch 5 sp, CH 3, SK to next Ch 5 sp, Rep from * around SL to 1st DC made,  CC to G, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 4: *SC in Ch 3 sp, CH 5, SK SC sp, SC in next  CH 3 sp, Ch 5, Sk 4 DC sp, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CC to P, Ch 3, turn.
Rnd 5: *SC in CH 5 sp, CH 3, SK SC sp, 4 DC in Ch 5 sp, Ch 3, SK SC sp, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CC to G, Ch 1, turn.

Rnd 7: *3 SC, CH 10, working down ch sps (SC, HDC, 2 DC, TR, 2 DC, HDC, SC), SC rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 8: *SK 2 sps, SC, HDC, 2 DC, 2 TR in next sp, 2 DC, HDC, 3 SC in next sp (tip of leave), HDC, 2 DC, 2 TR in next sp, 2 DC, HDC, SC, SK 2 sps, SC, Rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, Tie off, Hide String.

With Darning Needle and green yarn, sew the leaves and stem to the top of the berry hat.
