When its still cold outside - who doesn't love a cuddly blankie to snuggle up with? (Especially one that you don't have to sew and can make in the time it takes you to watch a movie!) This cuddly fleece blanket pattern can be made into a sleeping bag as well so it is a big win with the kids.  An excellent gift idea too, add to a movie night gift basket or using a baby motif add it to your next shower gift!

Fleece Fabric

Step 1: Cut Fabric to the size of blanket you want- you will want two sides for this sleeping bag blankie so make sure you have a top and a bottom.

Step 2: Starting from one corner to the next- cut 2 inch wide strips by about 2-3 inches long. You will want to cut strips on all sides except the top of the blanket.

Step 3: When all strips have been cut- it is time to start tying! This is something to keep your hands busy while watching a movie or show but before you lift the blanket to tie- make sure to tie a double knot joining the top and bottom strips in each corner and a few up and down the sides to keep the blanket ties lined up.

Step 4: Join each top and bottom strip with a double knot - this will take at least an hour to do but the outcome is well worth the time.
