This is a great classroom project to make as a gift for students to take home for parents. Photo ornaments are always a keepsake and we always get so many of those extra wallet sized photos with the school pictures anyway, it's a great way to make use of them!

What you need

4 craft sticks
red construction paper
school photo, wallet sized
dried pasta noodles and shapes
white glue
gold paint
ribbon
scissors

What you do

Glue the 4 craft sticks together in a diamond shape. Decorate the diamond frame by gluing pasta noodles in whatever fashion you like. Let dry.

Paint sticks and noodles gold. let dry.

Cut a diamond shape from red construction paper to fit the back of the diamond frame. Glue to the back. Glue photo to the center of the construction paper.

Fold ribbon into a loop and glue to the back of the ornament as a hanger.

When everything is dry, write child's name and the date or year on the back of the ornament.
