What you need
- Plastic or glass round ornaments
- Green or red, and white glitter
- Mod Podge or white craft glue
- Liner paintbrush
- Pen, marker or pencil
- floral foam or Styrofoam to hold ornaments while they dry
- Paper plate to catch glitter
- Clear acrylic sealer spray, matte
What you do

Remove the hanger top from the ornament and set aside.

Insert a pen or pencil (we used a marker) inside the ornament. This will act as a handle while you work. Use a liner brush dipped in Mod Podge to add a section of glue for the first stripe. Start at the top of the ornament and end at the bottom, making the center wider than the top and bottom. Don't paint on more than two lines at once or the glue will dry before you can add your glitter. It's best to work one line at a time.

Position the paper plate below your ornament on the work surface. Sprinkle red or green glitter onto the wet glue stripe. Turn the ornament, skip a section, then paint another stripe. Sprinkle with glitter. Continue until your stripes are done, you will have a blank stripe in between each colored stripe. Gently tap off excess glitter onto paper plate.
insert the pen handle into the floral foam and allow to dry for about ten minutes.

Remove pen handle and ornament from the floral foam and paint one of the empty stripes with Mod Podge. Sprinkle with white glitter. Repeat for all blank stripes. Tap off excess glitter. Place in floral foam and let dry 10 minutes. Tap excess off again, then give each ornament a quick, light spray with acrylic sealer. You just want enough on there so that glitter will not continue to flake off the ornament.

Hang in your tree!
