Step 1: Getting Started

This is a great way to display your kids photos each year and has become a tradition in our home. These blocks work great for families of all different sizes too because you can add pictures or initials all the way around, depending how many kiddos are in your family. You can get the kids in on this project too by having them paint the blocks while you cut the pictures - making memories and cute crafts at the same time!

Difficulty: Easy

2.5 inch plain wooden block (found at any craft store)
Mod podge
photos/scrapbook paper
cup hooks
Craft paint and brush
ribbon to hang the ornaments

Step 2: Instructions

Step 1: Paint your blocks brown or with desired color and set aside. Cut out your squares for the sides- I did this by tracing my block onto the back of scrapbook paper and then cut it slightly smaller than what I traced. You will want to cut enough for all the sides- including top and bottom.

Step 2: Cut out your pictures and Mod podge the pictures and squares on, then modpodge over to seal using the Matte or Gloss finish.

Step 3: When your blocks are dry - screw in cup holders on top of the blocks and tie ribbon and it is ready to hang on your tree!
