Christmas Craft Ideas - Recycled Snowman

Material Required:

1.   An empty, dry cylindrical medicine bottle along with the lid.
2.   White pom pom - head
3.   A smaller flat plastic bottle lid-hat
4.   cotton strip
5.   Tooth pick tip painted in orange–nose
6.   Black  paint
7.   White chenille stem –hands
8.   Glue
9.   Red  satin ribbon-scarf
10.   Black tiny beads - mouth
11.   A pair of wiggle eyes
12.   Black paint(acrylic)
13.   Black  bead (3) - buttons 
    
    
    

Craft procedure:

Step 1: The cotton strip is unwrapped and made into a rectangular strip. Three or four such rectangular strips are made. The strip must be approximately of the same height as that of the cylindrical bottle.

Step 2: The rectangular strip is glued on the cylindrical bottle on all the sides. This forms the body of the snow man. Allow it to dry.

Step 3: Large white pom pom is stuck on top of the medicine bottle. It acts as the head of the snow man.

Step 4: The lid of the medicine bottle as well as the smaller bottle lid is painted black.

Step 5: The lid of the medicine bottle is glued on top of the pom pom. Smaller flat bottle lid is placed on the bottle lid and glued on it. This acts as the hat of the lid.

Step 6: Glue the wiggle eyes on the pom pom. Stick the eyes in such a way that they are pretty close to each other.

Step 7: Stick the toothpick tip on the face. This is the nose of the snow man.

They are stuck immediately below the eyes. A triangle cut from an orange felt can also be used as the nose.

Step 8: Apply glue on the tip of the tooth pick and stick 6-7 black seed beads on the face. Take the shape of a curvy smile. Allow the glue to dry.

Step 9: Three black beads can be glued on the body of snow man. This acts as the button. The beads should be equally spaced when being stuck.

Step 10: The white Chenille stem is cut which is used as the arms of the snow man. Two arms are cut each of which are approximately 2 inches each. It is stuck on both the sides of the body.

Step 11: Scarf is wrapped around the neck. Red satin ribbon can be used as scarf.

A beautiful white snow man is made by using all recycled items.
