Skill level: Advanced beginner

400 yards of fingering yarn (the sample was knit using Red Heart Stardust in brown)
Size 10 ½ needles
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

Gauge: 3 stitches to the inch

Shawl Instructions:
Cast on 3 sts.
Row 1: (K1, Yo), repeat to last st, K1. (5)
Row 2 and ALL EVEN rows: K in each stitch across.
Row 3: repeat row 1. (9)
Row 5: (K1, yo) 2 times, K2, yo, place marker,K1, yo,K2, ( yo, K1) 2 times. (15)
Row 7: (K1, yo) 2 times, K to marker, Yo, slip marker, K1, yo, K to last 2 sts, (yo, K1) twice.
Repeat rows 6 and 7 until you have 238 stitches on the needle or desired length,(you will need more yarn if you make your shawl longer), end after completing an even row.

Finishing it all up:
Cast off very loosely.

Adding Fringe:
Cut fringe 8 inches long and fold in half and knot one on each cast off stitch across.

Lightly block.
