Christmas Craft Ideas -Shiny Christmas Balls

Materials needed:

1.         Stray foam balls as many as the number of balls you intend to make

2.         Sequence/ beads

3.         Pins    

4.         Glue

5.         Thread which matches the sequences

6.         Water

7.         Bowl

 

Craft Procedure:

Christmas is the season of joy, and togetherness. It becomes more fun when you can spend quality time with the children and make simple things which reflect the spirit of the season. With a little patience and a creative mind, decorating the Christmas tree will be so much more fun. Shiny balls which hang from the tree, exhibits joy, color and resplendence. It would be so much dearer if created by you. It is simple and will be very exciting to make.

 

Step 1: chose the stray foam balls and make a small indentation on the top where the thread has to go through.

Step 2: once the aperture is made treadle some ordinary thread through it. With the ball ready to hang let us being with the cumbersome procedure of pinning the sequence or beads in.

Step 3: take a pin and put it through the sequence or bead. Now from the top to the bottom go on pinning the ball so that there is no gap at all. The sequences or beads should be closely placed to make it look beautiful.

Step 4: once the entire ball is covered pat down the pins carefully. Now is the step to make sure the beads or sequences are in place.

Step 5: mix one part of glue with one part of water. Dip the sequenced ball in it and remove. Once the ball is removed wipe of the excess glue with wet towel or hand.

Step 6: cut of the old tread, and place it on a plastic sheet or waxed sheet to dry. Once the ball is fully dry, treadle the actually thread which you are going to use to tie the ball.

 Step 7: Now the shiny balls are ready to be hung on the Christmas tree.

Creativity can be used in choosing the color of the beads the sequences. Use bright and shiny colored beads to make the tree look shiny and beautiful. You can join two or three such balls together using a normal needle and thread before applying glue or pinning in order to make a shiny ball train. You could pierce in a train of shiny streamers right in the binging and then start beading the ball, this will give you a shiny ball with a tail. You can make bi or tri colored balls by using sequences of various colors. This will make the tree look more colorful.
