Craft procedure:

Snow is enjoyed by people belonging to all age group. It is fun to make a beautiful snow globe of our own. This craft is especially easy to make as it is made out of simple scraps and left over materials. There is no specific pattern in making a snow globe .There are umpteen possible ways of doing it. It all depends on the imagination of the kids doing it. Imagination has no limits. Snow globes can be prepared for various occasions symbolizing a particular theme. For Christmas Santa can be placed inside the globe. Get ready to know how to create a magically snow world.

Step1: Take a transparent/clear dry jar. Place a cute doll on the lid of the jar. To get the feel of how it might look at the end just place the jar on the doll and have a look.

Seal the doll securely on the lid. We can either use hot glue or glues used in the aquarium. Clays can also be used to act as glue.

Step 2: Fill the jar with cold water. Add little glycerin to it. Drop the glitter particles in to the solution. Glycerin helps the glitter particles to hover in the solution for a longer period of time. Seal the jar tightly. Prevent the water from dripping out or spilling.

Step 3: Mixed colored glitters can also be added in the solution. Colored mineral oils can be sprinkled to create whirl pool effect. Make sure that the doll doesn’t dissolve in the solution. White glitter slowly comes down as snow where as silver glitter falls down rapidly.

Step 4: Do not add too much glitter particles as it may disrupt the beauty of the snow world and even hide the doll inside it.

Step 5: In addition to glitter particles egg can also be used to add the effect of snow.

Step 6:  Peel the egg shell carefully from the boiled eggs.

Step 7:  Place the shells in a bag and seal it. Squeeze the bag and crush the shells into small pieces. Don’t powder them.

Step 8: Now add the crushed egg shells into the snow globe.

A lovely snow globe is ready.
