Crochet Snowflakes are perfect for giving away for the holidays or decorate that Christmas tree!


Materials: Size 10 White Thread, Hook Size 1.8 mm, and Fabric Stiffener.

Ch = Chain
SL = Slip Crochet
SC = Single Crochet

Larger Snow flake
Base: CH 5, SL to 1st Ch, Ch 1, Turn.
Rnd 1: 10 SC in CH sp, SL to 1st SC made, Turn.
Rnd 2: CH 8, SC in 2nd SC sp, 1 SC, *CH 8, 2 SC, CH 8, 2 SC, CH 8, 2 SC, CH 8, 1 SC, SL to 1st CH made, Tie off and hide string.
Rnd 3: Attach Sting to any CH 8 SP,* CH 16, SC in 5th CH from hook, 1 SC, CH 10, SC in 4th CH from hook, 1 SC, CH 6, SC in 5th CH from hook, 6 SC, CH 6, SC in 6th CH from hook, 5 SC, In next CH 8 SP (1 SC, CH 8, 1 SC) Rep from * 4 times, except on last repeat finish with SL to 1st SC made.

Smaller Snow Flake
Base: CH 3, SL to 1st Ch made, Ch 1, Turn.
Rnd 1: 18 SC in Ch 3 SP, Ch 1, Turn.
Rnd 2: 2 sc, *Ch 6, 3 SC, Rep from * 4 times, CH 6, 1 SC, SL to 1st SC made, Turn.
Rnd 3: *CH 6, SC in 3rd CH from hook, CH 8, SC in 5th Ch from hook, Ch 5, SC in 5th Ch from hook, CH 5, SC in 5th Ch from hook, 4 SC, CH 3, SC in 3rd CH from hook, Ch 3, SC in 2nd SC in row 2 after CH 6 sp, Rep 5 times from *, Last rep SL to 1st sc made, Tie off, hide string.
After making your snowflakes you will need to stiffen them with fabric stiffener. Shape them and let dry. I like to pin them down to foam square when they dry it is the best way to insure their shape. Happy holidays
