Step 1: Getting Started

 

Need a super quick scarf to accent a new winter coat or to take to the slopes? When the weather is cold and your neck is chilly, consider knitting this SUPER quick and easy scarf for yourself or for a friend. This free knitting pattern works up quick and smooth, giving you a lovely scarf to gift or keep.

The choices of color are endless and I love how functional this pattern is, as well as being fairly gender neutral. Any guy would look sharp sporting this scarf, and any girl can pull this into a great accent piece for a new outfit or winter attire. Enjoy!

 

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:
200-300 yards of Worsted weight yarn
Size 10 ½   knitting needle
Yarn needle

Gauge: 4 stitches per inch

Finished size: approx.  9 inches by 52 inches or desired length  when stretched out

Step 2: Pattern Instructions

 

Stitches used:
K – Knit
P - Purl

*This scarf knits up quick and makes a great last minute gift. The fabric is very stretchy and soft and will work for either a man or woman.

Instructions:

Cast on 39 sts
Row 1: K 2, P 2 to last st, P1.
Row 2: K2, P2, to last st,P1.
Repeat row 2 until scarf is desired length.
Cast off and weave in ends.
