Triple Flower Applique

This flower motif measures 4” across hook . For a smaller flower take Rnd one and SC instead of DC. By doing that the Flower measures 2 1/2” across. Or use a smaller yarn. 

Skill Level: Easy

Materials: Any two colored yarns with appropriate hook, and a darning needle

Key:

CH = Chain

SL st = Slip Stitch

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

BLO = Back loop Only

 

Motif 1

Base: Ch 3

Rnd 1:(With color A) 9 DC in 1st ch made, sl in 1st DC made, turn (do not ch1 to turn).

Rnd 2: * 4DC in next sp, 1 sl st, Rep from * around makes 5 petals.

Rnd 3 (with color B) sl st in BLO around Perimeter of flower,in following manner:*4 sl st, then 1 sl st in rnd below, Rep around from *. Tie off hide strings.

Repeat Motif 1,  two more times.

(Color A) With yarn needle take one petal from each flower motif and sew tog. Sew perimeter of the new three flowered motif to the intended project.
