Upcycled Headband
I guess we can thank Pinterest for making it cool again. This is one of my favorite projects that takes just a few minutes to do but looks like you spent all day on it – an upcycled headband!
Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
T-shirt or Skirt w/ elastic band
Scissors
Sewing Machine
Measuring Tape
Instructions:
Step 1: For this project you will want to use a shirt or skirt that has a stretchy elastic band. Start by cutting the elastic off the shirt or skirt just above the seam.
Step 2: Measure the head size of the person you are making this for and cut the band accordingly. For a Medium size shirt you should be able to make one adult size headband and 2 child size bands that are half the width.
Step 3: Now you will want to sew the edges with a zig-zag stitch and sew the end together using a simple stitch straight across the width- make sure you turn it inside out when you sew the ends together to hide the stiches. Add a cute flower and you are done!
