Valentine Doily - Doily Craft Idea

Doilies are becoming popular again and great for decorating. They are also very inexpensive at craft stores - at least the paper ones - and look great on display. This craft is simple and easy to make.  All you need is a craft board, some scrapbook paper, and a doily...and you can make this Heart Doily Display in no time at all!  It will make a nice accent piece in your home for Valentine's Day or all year long!  Or make one for a friend.

Floral Wheel Doily

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:
Scrapbook Paper
12x14 Craft Board
Glue Stick
Paper cutter
Foam Brush

Directions:

Cut 2 inch strips of red coordinating color 12x12 paper for the top and bottom of the frame and glue to a 14x20 craft board using light amount of Mod Podge and a foam brush.

Make sure to center before gluing. Then, Layer other paper over the top of the first and glue.

Cut middle strip from red scrapbook paper and glue with glue stick to paper -

Glue Doily using glue stick - you can use another glue but be careful not to use too much if using Mod Podge because it will give it a wrinkled look if you apply too much adhesive.
