A Valentine Scarf is a great way to spice up valentines. It is Still Cold outside! This Scarf is a simple and quick scarf that is made from a very bulky yarn.
Materials: Lion Brand – Super Bulky, Hometown USA: Colors – Cincinnati Red and New York White. Hook Size N, Darning Needle.
CH=Chain
SL = Slip Stitch
SLO= Slip Stitch Only
SC= Single Crochet
DC= Double Crochet
TR = Treble Crochet
(W) = White yarn used
(R)= Red yarn used
FLO = Front Loop Only
Red Hearts (Four Needed):
Base: CH 3
Row 1: 2 SC, CH 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 SC in next 2 sps, CH 1, turn.
Row 3: 2 SC in next sp, 2 SC, 2 SC in next sp, CH 1, turn.
Row 4: 6 SC, CH 1, turn.
Row 5: In 1st sp ( 1 SC, 1 DC), in 2nd sp (2 DC), In 3rd sp (1 DC, 1 SL), In 4th sp (1 SL, 1 DC), in 5th sp ( 2 DC), in last sp (1 DC, 1 SC), DO NOT TURN.
Rnd 6: SLO from end of row 5 down and around heart to the Beginning on Row 5.
Scarf:
Base: CH 12.
Row 1 (W): 5 SC, 3 SC in next, 5 SC, CH 1, turn.
Row 2 (FLO): SK 1st sp, 5 SC, 3 SC in next, 5 SC, Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Rep row 2.
Row 4-6 (R): Rep Row 2
Rep Rows 1-6 eight times.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 one more time.
Take darning needle and sew hearts together and sew to each end of the scarf.
