*This water bottle holder is designed to fit a standard 16.9 oz water bottle.

Skill level: advanced beginner

Materials: 1 ball of Sugar and Cream cotton in the color way of Americana Ombre
Size 8 dpns
Stitch marker
Yarn needle

Gauge: 4 sts to the inch

Stitches used:
K = knit
P = purl
Inc = knit into the front and the back of the next stitch
SSK = slip slip and knit the 2 together
K2tog = Knit 2 sts together
Icord = Knit the 4 sts on the needle, DO NOT TURN, slide the sts down to the left tip, bring the yarn from the back and knit the 4 sts. Repeat until desired length is reached.
Cast on 3 sts and divide onto 3 needles.
Round 1: being careful not to twist, inc in each stitch around. (6)
Round 2: inc in each stitch around (12)
Round 3: K in each stitch around.
Round 4: (Inc,K1)  around. (18)
Round 5: K in each stitch around.
Round 6: (inc, K in next 2 sts) repeat around.(24)
Round 7: repeat round 5.
Round 8: (inc, k in next 3 sts) repeat around. (30)
Round 9: repeat round 5.
Round 10: (inc, k in next 4 sts) repeat around. (36)
Round 11- 18: Place a marker at the beginning of round, K in each stitch around slipping marker as you come to it.
Round 19: P in each stitch around.
Round 20: ( Yo,K2tog,) repeat around.
Round 21: repeat round 19.
Rounds 22-24: Repeat round 5.
Rounds 25-30: repeat rounds 19-24.
Rounds 31-35: repeat round 5.

First Strap:
Round 36: SSK, K 14, K2tog, turn, place the remaining 18 sts onto a holder.
Row 37: P across. (16)
Row 38: SSK, K 12, K2tog.(14)
Row 39: repeat row 37.
Row 40: SSK, K 10,K2tog.(12)
Row 41: repeat row 37.
Row 42: SSK, K 8,K2tog. (10)
Row 43: repeat row 37.
Row 44: SSK, K 6, K2tog,(8)
Row 45: repeat row 37.
Row 46: SSK, K4, K2tog. (6)
Row 47: repeat row 37.
Row 48: SSK, K 2, K2tog. (4) do not turn.
Working with remaining 4 sts on the needle. Make an Icord 30 inches long, cast off and weave in ends.

Second Strap:
Place 18 sts from holder onto a needle and pick up yarn, SSK, K 16, K2tog.
Repeat  for first strap starting with row 37.

Finishing it all up!
Weave in all ends and tie both straps into a knot. Enjoy!
