Baby or Toddler Winter Beanie - Free Crochet Pattern
What better way to warm up your baby than with this crocheted beanie? This darling little winter beanie will be perfect for a 12 month baby. It has two long pom-poms on the hat corners and it is adorned by winter flowers! It's perfect for the cold winter months and is so easy to crochet. Done up in various colors could be fun too! SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
Instructions:
Hat – Naturally
Base: Ch 75, SL to 1st Ch made to form ring, ch 1, turn.
Rnd 1-6: 75 SC, SL to 1st Sc made, CH 1, turn. (Rnd 7, Ch 2, turn).
Rnd 7:* DC, Ch 1, Sk 1 sp, Rep from * around, Sl to 1 DC made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 8-11: 75 SC, Sl to 1st SC made, Ch 1 turn. (Rnd 11, Ch 2 turn).
Rnd 12: rep Rnd 7.
Rnd 13-37: 75 SC, Sl to 1st SC made, Ch 1, turn, (Rnd 37 tie off and hide string).
Take Darning needle and sew up the top of hat with a whip stitch.
Strips – Make 2
Base; Ch 68
Row 1: 68 Sc, Across tie off.
Take the Strips and weave in and out of Rnds 7 and 12, after woven into place sew the ends tog and hide strings.
PomPoms
Make two long Pom Poms and place on both corners of the hat.

Large Flower
Base: Ch 7 SL to 1st Ch made to form ring, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 1: In ch 7 ring: *SC, 3 Dc, SC, rep from * 4 more times, SL to 1st SC made, ch 1 turn.
Rnd 2: * Ch 3, Sk 5 sps, 2 SC, rep from * around, end with CH 3, then SL to 1st Ch made, CH 1 turn.
Rnd 3:*In Ch 3 sp – (SC, HDC, 2 DC, HDC, SC), Sk 2 sps, rep from * around, SL to 1st SC made, tie off hide string.
Small Flower
Base: Ch 7 SL to 1st Ch made to form ring, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 1: In ch 7 ring: *SC, 3 Dc, SC, rep from * 4 more times, SL to 1st SC made, tie off and hide string.
