This blanket involves working with two yarns at the same time and being able to rotate working with them in within the same row. This is done by working with one string at a time while the other string is worked around and brought along.

Materials: Lion Brand Yarn; Vanna’s Choice, Seaspray Mist and White,

 Needle Size: 6.00 mm or J hook

Stitches Used

Ch = Chain

sc = Single Crochet

dc = double crochet

CL = Cluster

FPtr = Front Post Treble Crochet

YO = Yarn Over

(g) = Work Green yarn

(w) = Work White yarn

Cluster:  With red yarn YO as if to dc insert hook into sc indicated and bring up loop. Bring yarn through first two loops leaving two on the hook. Repeat from beginning in same sc until there are five red loops on hook; bring the white yarn through all 5 loops for cleaner look.

Base: Chain 158

Row 1 and 2: (g) sc across, Ch 1, Turn.

Row 3 – 5: (g) 2 sc, (w) 17 sc, (g) 2 sc, (w) 18 sc; repeat across. (r) 2sc, ch1 turn.

Row 6   Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 8 sc, (g) CL, (w) 8 sc, (g) 2sc

Part 2: (w) 2 sc, *  FPtr around first sc on third row below, skip next 4 sc on third row below, FPtr around the next sc on the third row Below, skip 2 sc from last sc made (up top),  4 sc; repeat from * 2 more times. (Important note: on the last repeat when it calls for 4 sc at the end you will only 2 sc.)

Repeat part 1 and 2 across to end, Ch 1, turn.

Row 7: Repeat row 3

Row 8    Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 6 sc, (g) CL, (w) 3 sc, (g) CL, (w) 6 sc, (g) 2 sc,

Part 2: (w) 18 sc;

Repeat part 1 and 2 across, Ch 1, turn.

Row 9: Repeat row 3.

Row 10 Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 4 sc, (g) CL, (w) 7 sc, (g) CL, (w) 4 sc, (g) 2 SC,

Part 2: (w) FPtr around third sc on third row below, skip first sc, 4 sc, * FPtr around next sc on third row Below, skip next 4 sc on third row Below and work FPtr around next sc on third row Below, skip next 2 sc from last sc,  4 sc; Repeat once from * FPtr around third sc on third row Below, skip first sc,

Repeat parts 1 and 2 across, Ch1, turn.

Row 11: Repeat row 3.

Row 12 Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 2 sc, (g) CL, (w) 11 sc, (g) CL, (w) 2 sc, (g) 2 sc,

               Part 2: (w) 18 sc,

                              Repeat part 1 and 2 across, Ch 1, turn.

Row 13: Repeat row 3.

Row 14 Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 2 sc, (g) CL, (w) 5 sc, (g) CL, (w) 5 sc, (g) CL, (w) 2 sc, (g) 2 sc,

               Part 2: Repeat row 6 part 2.

               Repeat part 1 and 2 across, Ch 1, turn.

Row 15: Repeat row 3.

Row 16 Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 4sc, (g) CL, (w) 2 sc, (g) CL, (w) 1 sc, (g) CL, (w) 2 sc, (g) CL, (w) 4 sc,

               Part 2: (w) 18 sc;

               Repeat part 1 and 2 across, Ch1, turn.

Row 17: Repeat row 3.

Row 18 Part 1: (g) 2 sc, (w) 18, (g) 2 sc

               Part 2: Repeat row 10 part 2.

               Repeat parts 1 and 2 across, Ch 1, turn

Row 19: Repeat row 3.

Row 20:(g) sc across, Ch 1, turn.

Repeat rows 3 through 20 until desired length is obtained. When desired length is obtained add one row of (g) sc across, Finished.
