"Cone Angel" - Free

Materials:
Pellon; metallic gold thread and cord; felt; large wooden bead; tiny pearl beads;
lightweight paper-backed gold foil; white glue; food coloring; pipe cleaner.
Instructions:
To make dress: Cut a 12 x 12"
piece of Pellon. Mix food coloring with 1 cup water. To test color strength, dip
Pellon scraps in dye; hang to dry. Add more color if needed; dye 12"
square. Cut a 9" diameter foil circle; fold in half and glue paper sides
together. Apply glue along foil edge and center Pellon in place; trim PeIlon.
When dry, form into cone shape and glue edge to hold shape. Use a fine needle
and gold thread to create running stitch design on Pellon. Glue or sew on pearl
beads; glue on felt or sequin trims.
To make head: Wrap and glue gold cord
around wood bead for hair; tie in back. Push bead on knotted pipe cleaner you
insert in cone. For a halo, string pearl beads on fine wire; glue on top of
hair. Cut and glue on foil wings. Paint face. Tie on a cord for hanging.
