Treats

Free Recipes - TREATS

This yummy recipe was kindly contributed by: Charlotte Bolthouse

You will need: 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of Karo syrup, 1 cup of peanut butter, and approx. 7 cups of Honey Nut Cheerios.

Edible Crafts: Make Candy Bouquets and Centerpieces For Fun & Profit.

Directions:

Combine Karo syrup and sugar in large pan, when mixture is clear add peanut butter, when this is smooth turn off the heat and add the Cheerios.

Mix the cereal in very quickly and then spread in pan.

I recommend putting it in the freezer for about an hour before you cut them and then letting them thaw out before you eat them.

You can substitute just about any cereal, but I like the texture of the Cheerios and because they have their own flavor, the treats aren't quite as sweet.
