Free Recipes - Candy Jellies
Ingredients: 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin;
1 cup cold water; 4 cups sugar; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 1 1/2 cups boiling water; 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon extract;
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract; red and green food coloring.

Directions: Have two 8 x 4-inch pans ready. Sprinkle
gelatin over cold water to soften. Add sugar and salt to boiling water. Add gelatin
and heat, stirring constantly, until sugar and gelatin are completely
dissolved. Bring mixture to a boil and boil gently for 15 minutes. Remove from
heat and divide into two parts. Add red coloring and cinnamon flavoring to half
of mixture. Add green coloring and peppermint flavoring to second half. Pour red
and green mixtures into separate pans. Cut into squares and roll in granulated
sugar.
