Arts and Crafts Projects - Fall Leaves
This clever, laminated fall leaves craft project was kindly contributed by designer: Erin Ennis. Please contact Erin with any questions regarding this project. Edible Crafts: Impress your friends with Candy Bouquets and Centerpieces. Make Them For Fun & Profit." Fall-Leaves: Ever wonder what it would be like to have an Autumn wonderland in your house? Sure its a bit unreasonable at first, but not with this craft!
What you will need:
leaves of all shapes and colors
access to a laminator
scissors
heavy books
1: Collect fresh, colorful leaves (this can be fun) and bring them back to
your home.
2: Take each leaf and carefully place them between the pages in books, to
press them and make them flat so they don't curl.
3: Give it a few days or a week (a week will make them turn out better) or
however long, so that when you check on the leaves, they are flat.
4: Then take they leaves to wherever you are going to laminate them, and do
so.
5: Cut the leaves out leaving a bit of laminate around the edge so it
doesn't peel off the actual leaf.
At this point, you will have flat, colorful long-lasting (waterproof) leaves
that you can store, and know that they won't crumble. Laminating leaves
really brings out the color too! Its up to your imagination now to do
whatever you want to decorate. You could spread then over your table at a
autumn feast or tie bunches of them to the roof with string. Have fun!!!
