Free Craft Projects - Potpourri Night
Light
Kindly Contributed by: Linda Kornblum lkornblum@hotmail.com
In a large mason
jar...place an 18 light string of Christmas clear [or colored]. Pour potpourri
in and around cord to hide as much as possible leaving out at top a length of
cord with plug attached. Discard lid or save for another craft. Cover top of jar
with a 4-6 in. doily from dollar store or crochet your own.
Tie a ribbon or
length of raffia around doily at neck of jar. Tie a bow or hot glue a silk or
dried flower on ribbon at front of jar so cord is hanging out from under doily
at back. When plugged in the heat from lights warms the potpourri and scents
your home beautifully. They are also very pretty night lights. Cheap lovely and
easy to do. In place of potpourri you can also use colored marbles seashells or
let your creativity flow. Just don't use anything that would melt or is
flammable at low heat.
