Turn a plain craft bird into a
glitter bird.
Great for
wreaths, floral arrangements and as Christmas tree ornaments.
Edible

Centerpieces. Make Them For Fun & Profit."
What you need: * A bird (a fake one of
course!)
* Craft glue, such as Mod Podge or Sobo (available at Wal-Mart or craft
stores)
* A paint brush for applying the glue
* A safe place for your birdie to dry, such as a piece of craft or floral foam
* A piece of paper or waxed paper to catch your excess glitter for re-use
* A clear spray sealer if desired * Glitter!
What to do:
1. Make sure your birdie is clean and
dust free.
2. Dip your brush into the glue, and paint on the bird wherever you want
the glitter to be.
3. Sprinkle glitter over the glue.
4. Tap gently on paper or waxed paper to remove excess
5. Place your birdie somewhere safe to dry for a few minutes.
(Poke the wire attached to the bird's feet into floral or craft foam to hold
the bird upright while drying.)
If you are
using two colors like we've done above, it's best to let the first color dry
completely, so that you do not contaminate your next glitter color when you
shake off the excess.
6. Pour
your excess glitter back into your jar for re-use
7. If you've used enough glue, a sealer may not be necessary. But
just in case, it's always good to spray a light coating of clear sealer onto
your finished bird.
8. Let dry completely, and enjoy!
9. Oh yeah, dont forget to wash your brush so you can re-use it!)
If
you are using opaque glitter, the color of bird does not matter. If you
are using a transparent glitter, you would want to choose a
complimentary-colored bird for your glitter.
