Materials:
Lily
Soft Spun, 1 ball or, .Lily Cotton Rug Yarn, 1 skein. Six Strand Embroidery
Floss, 1 skein each of Red, Black and Chartreuse. Crochet Hook No. 8.
Instructions: Wind off a soft ball of yarn about
6 1/2"
around. Break off. Starting at center of face, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Rnd 1: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 2: * Sc in
next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around. Continue around in sc, inc.
about 6 times each rnd (do not inc. over previous inc.) until piece fits over
half of wound ball. Work 1 rnd even, then dec. in same manner as incs. were
made, fitting ball into opening before closing.
Ears: Ch 9.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and next
2 ch, 2 sc in each of next 2 ch, sc in next 3 ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across, ch 1,
turn.
Row 3: Sc in next 3 sc, dec. 1 sc, 1 sc
in each remaining sc. Fasten off. Sew ears to each side of head. Embroider face
as pictured using floss.
