Crochet Patterns - Family Slippers
These are wonderful slippers to make for the whole family. All
sizes are available with this pattern.
Materials: Coats & Clark's Craft and RugYarn, Art.
C.207, 3 Ply (4 oz. Pull Out Skeins): 1 skein of eggshell and 1 skein of
contrasting color for each pair. Crochet hook size K.

Note: Use 2 strands held together throughout. Be sure to check your gauge before starting slippers.
Use any size hook which will obtain the stitch gauge above.
Gauge: 5 sc = 2 inches; 5 rnds = 2 inches.
Children: Length of Sole (In Inches) 6 7 8 9;
Women: 9 10 11; Men: 10 11 12.
Left Slipper—Sole: Starting at center with 2 strands of
contrasting color held together, ch sts.....Children: 13, 15, 18,
20; Women: 18, 21, 23; Men: 19, 21, 24.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each ch to
within last ch, 3 sc in last ch (toe end); working along opposite side of
starting chain, sc in each ch to within first sc, 2 sc in same ch where
first sc was made. Join with sl st to first sc. There are the following #
of sc on rnd.
Children: 26 30 36 40 Women: 36 42 46 Men:
38 42 48.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in next
sc—1
sc
increased; sc in each sc around, increasing 3 sc at toe end and 2 more
sc at heel end. Join to first sc.
Repeat Rnd 2 for Women: 1,1,1; For Men:
2,2,2. Break off and fasten. Place marker at center of each side
of sole. Now work around front half of sole as follows: With right side
facing, attach double strand of same color yarn to first marker, ch 1,
increasing 3 sc evenly at toe end, sc in each sc to second marker. Do not
remove markers.
Last Rnd: Sl st in each sc around. Join, break off
and fasten.
Upper—Side: With side edge facing, attach double
strand of same color yarn to either marker.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, working
through both loops of sl sts, sc in each sl st around. Join.
Rnd
2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around. Join.
Repeat Rnd 2 for Women: 1,1,1; For Men: 1,1,1.
Break off and fasten. Attach double strand of Eggshell to
joining.
Next Rnd: Repeat Rnd 2. Break off and fasten.
Instep: Starting at center with double strand of
Eggshell, ch Children: 5, 6, 7, 8; Women: 7, 8, 9;
Men 7, 8, 9.
Rnd 1: Repeat Rnd 1 of Sole. There are the
following # of stitches on rnd. Children: 8, 9, 10, 11; Women:10, 11, 12;
Men: 10, 11, 12.
Rnd 2: Repeat Rnd 2 of Sole for Women:
1, 1, 1, more time. Men: 2, 2, 2 more times.
Break off and fasten.
Pin instep in place on side to complete upper, leaving
the curved end at inner edge free. With Eggshell and working through both
thicknesses, sl st instep to side. Break off and fasten.
Right Slipper: Work as for Left Slipper.
