Materials: Glitter or metallic floss (25-grams or 1 oz.): Color of choice. Aluminum crochet hooks sizes H and G or size to give gauge. Gauge: G hook: 19 dc = 4"; 3 rows = 1" Finished Measurements: (without fringe): Width: 48". Length at center: 29". With H hook ch 208 to measure 44". Change to G hook. Row 1 (right side): Dc in 3rd ch from hook and each rem ch: 206 dc. Row 2: Ch 3, turn, sk first 2 dc, * (yo, draw up lp) in each of next 2 dc, (yo, thru 3 lps on hook) twice (cluster made—cl ), ch 1; rep from * across, end cl in last 2 dc; do not work in turning ch; 102 cl. Row 3: Ch 3, turn, * dc in top of next cl, dc in next st; rep from * to last cl, sk last cl, dc in top of ch-3; 202 sts. (Note: Ch-3 at beg counts as 1 st.) Row 4: Rep Row 2 to last 4 sts, cl in next 2 dc, dc in next dc; 199 sts. Row 5: Ch 3, turn, sk next cl, dc in next st; rep from * of Row 3; 197 sts. Rep Rows 2 thru 5 until 17 dc remain. Fasten off. Border: Row 1: Right side facing, join in upper left corner, * ch 5, sc in end of next dc row *; rep between *'s to last row; ch 5, sk first dc on last row, ** sc in next dc, ch 5 **; rep between **'s across last row; rep between *'s across right side, end sc in upper right corner. Row 2: Turn, sl st in first ch, ch 5, work sc, ch 3, sc all in 3rd ch of next ch-5 lp (picot made), * ch 5, sc, picot, all in 3rd ch of next ch-5 lp; rep from * along previous row. Rows 3, 4 and 5: Rep Row 2. Fasten off. Fringe: Knot 4- 16" strands in each lp on side and lower edges. Moisten and tighten knots or use overhand knot to hold fringe in place. Trim ends. |
