Crochet Patterns - Floral Squares Pillow
Size: 16" square.
Materials: Knitting worsted weight yarn, 6 ozs. cream white, 2 ozs.
green, small amounts of 16 different colors. Crochet hook size H. Pillow form,
14" square.
Gauge: Motif = 3 1/2" square; 3 sts = 1".
Pillow Top: Motif (make 16) With center color, ch 5; sl st in first ch
to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, * ch 2, 3 dc in ring, repeat from * twice, ch 2,
sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 2: Join green in corner ch-2 sp; ch 3, 2 dc in corner sp, ch 2, 3 dc in
same corner sp, * ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next corner sp, repeat from * twice,
ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 3: Join white in corner sp; ch 3, 2 dc in corner sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same
corner sp, * (dc in sp between next 2 dc) twice, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in corner sp,
repeat form * twice, (dc in sp between next 2 dc) twice, dc in ch-1 sp, (dc in
sp between next 2 dc) twice, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
From wrong side, sl st motifs together working through back lps only.
Back: With white, ch 45.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * dc in next ch, sc in next ch, repeat from *
across, end dc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: * Sc in dc, dc in sc, repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn each row.
Repeat row 2 until piece is square and covers one side of pillow form.
Finishing: From right side, sl st top and back of pillow tog on 3
sides. Insert pillow form; sl st 4th side together.
Ruffle:
Rnd 1: With white, work 2 dc in each st around edge, 4 dc in each corner.
Rnd 2: Sc in each dc around. Sl st in first sc. End off.
