Crochet Patterns - Sweet Rosey Bookmark - In Filet

This is my original design for my “Sweet Rosey Bookmark” in Filet Crochet. When making with size #10 thread and a #7 hook, it should measure 3.9” wide X 10.5” tall when finished. (This pattern can be made wider to become an Arm Chair Cover. Just crochet several rows of solid double crochets around.)

Using my chart below and starting at the bottom right of pattern, chain 52. Chain an additional 3 to turn which will count as the first double crochet of the first row. Double crochet in the 5th chain from hook. Double crochet in the next 2 chains to complete bottom right solid square of pattern. Continue following pattern for first row reading pattern right to left. After completing first row, chain 3 to turn to start next row. Continue following the pattern until all rows are complete. At the end of row 42, fasten off. You may add a tassle and block, if desired.
