Free Crochet Pattern - Mexican Nap Time Afghan

 Materials: Sizes J  & I crochet hooks; About 50 oz of assorted Red Heart 100 percent acrylic yarn.  (Worsted medium 4)  Can be made to any size.  I'm 6'3"  so I made mine 72 inches long.

Any color combo works with this pattern.  I used all my scrap yarn that I had left over and alternated it with black. I did 2 rows for each color.

Pattern: With J hook, Ch 150 (Works Head To Toe)

 Row 1: Yo, draw up loop in first stich, sk st, draw up loop in next st, yo through all five loops, ch 1 for eye, sk st,  *yo draw up loop in same st as last group st, yo, sk 1 st, draw loop in next st, yo through all 5 stitches, ch 1, sk st, repeat * across, ch 2.  Turn.

 Row 2: Yo, draw up loop in first stitch, yo, draw up loop in next eye through all five stitches, ch1, yo, *draw up loop in same eye, yo, draw up loop in next eye through all five loops, ch 1, repeat from *, ch 2. Turn.

Continue row 2 stitch till length desired. 

 Border: (With I hook)

 Single crochet for 3 rows, 3 sc in each corner.  Weave in ends.  Enjoy
